Yes, the family budget can get tight and sometimes there's more "month at the end of the money". But, most families can "find money" by looking at some of the small things that spend on that can really add up over time.; Here are 6 simple suggestions to think about.

Rent a DVD for family night. Do you really need to purchase it? How about the books you read once. Get in the habit of checking out the library for the books you want to read. The average hardback book costs $19.95 plus tax. That will feed one child for almost the entire year!

You've been wanting to break your daily Latte habit. Do your waistline a favor and be a blessing to the children of Haiti at the same time. Contribute the $3.45 that you'll save each day. Just think how many meals you would be providing (do the math...remember 6 cents!)

Do you get cash back from your credit card or bank debit card program? Keep track of what you earn as you spend and donate on a regular basis.

Have the family watch for coupons for things you buy.  Look for these in the store and in the Sunday newspaper. Every time you save 60 cents on margerine, you will be able to feed 10 children for a day! It all adds up!

What about those percentage off coupons you get in the mail and newspaper. Many of your favorite stores, offer 10-25% coupons on a regular basis. Plan to shop on those days, put the money you save in a jar and write a check at the end of the month to share your abundance with the children.

It's fun to get a bargain! Maybe you've been planning a particular purchase. Wait and watch for it to go on-sale. Send the difference to Living Water Ministries so we can make a difference in these children's lives.
